Nominated for Music Nova Scotia’s Indigenous Artist of the Year in 2021 and 2022, New Artist Recording 2022, SOCAN songwriter of the year 2022 which Austin garnered Indigenous Artist of the Year and New Artist Recording along with Socan Young Canadian Songwriters Award Honourable Mention 2022, Chief Noel Doucette youth Achievement Award 2022 and Nominated for the Women in Music Canada Honours 2023. She has followed up with the newest release of her single Natural Born Original, 16 and the sequel to her single Buried Truth – Buried Truth Part 2 and 3. DeeDee is currently working on new songs for her second EP which will be released in the spring of 2023.  DeeDee’s multi-faceted sound will be sure to have you dancing, while simultaneously pulling on your heart strings!
