Kelly McMichael is an artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist based in St. John’s, NL, originally from Peterborough, ON. She has toured North America and Europe and backed up The Burning Hell, Allie X, Tim Baker and Sarah Harmer. After a decade as a side player and fronting multiple DIY feminist bands McMichael’s independent debut LP had a breakthrough in 2021. ‘Waves’ garnered a spot on the Polaris Prize shortlist, three Music NL Awards including ‘Songwriter of the Year’ and the ECMA for Best Rock Recording.

Kelly’s music sits in the comfort of classic pop / rock influences while being utterly unafraid to try new things. Her sophomore album ‘After The Sting Of It’ arrives fall 2024, via LHM Records.
