Join Lisa Gleave, Director of Operations and Programming at APA, for a transformative two-part workshop designed to explore the foundations of Organizational Leadership. In this session, we will examine ideas on how to build inclusive, effective leadership structures, as well as seek to evaluate and understand cultural leadership with an ADEI-DAR (Accessibility, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Decoloniality and Anti-racist) lens.
Topics will include discussing what makes a strong leader, defining your organization’s purpose, discovering our strengths and how they shape our leadership, exploring personal accountability, understanding succession planning, and building in ADEI-DAR considerations at every level of organizational planning.
Since 2023, APA staff member Lisa Gleave has been taking part in a training program presented by Cultural Pluralism in the Arts Movement Ontario (CPAMO) and supported by Canadian Heritage aimed at enabling art services organizations across Canada to deliver organizational change via education, skill-building and training initiatives for their affiliate organizations.
These sessions are ideal for emerging and established presenter leaders who are:
- Passionate about growth and transformation
- Open to new approaches and perspectives
- Committed to fully participating in both program sessions
This session is the first in a four-part series. Other session topics to be offered in 2025 include: Community Engagement, Conflict Resolution, and Equity in Employment.
