Sylvia Allen is back to explore the intricacies of sponsorship in depth during her follow up session: Pricing, Role Playing and Cold Calling. During this session, Sylvia addresses valuation - how much to charge and how to justify the costs, demonstrates how the sales process can work to your advantage and teaches simple cold calling techniques.
Harm Reduction and Emergency Planning
In a world of uncertainty, it pays to be prepared. Festival and event planning is no exception; in order to mitigate loss and ensure the safety of event staff, participants and attendees, contingency planning is a must. Stacey Lock shares how Shambhala Music Festival in Salmo, BC is on the forefront of harm reduction initiatives, creating a safe festival environment for participants. Troy Greencorn, Stan Rogers Folk Festival, Canso, NS speaks to the importance of emergency planning after having to make the decision to cancel StanFest in 2014 due to Hurricane Arthur.
Festival Technology Panel
Join Darren Gallop - Marcato, Mathieu Dupuis - Ticketpro and Anthony Palermo - Connect & GO, for a conversation on new and existing technologies that have the potential to take your festival to the next level! Panellists will be discussing the technologies available for festivals of all sizes, such as live event management software, ticketing solutions, RFID, cashless payments, access control and integrating systems across multiple platforms to name a few.
Solutions Centre & One to One Meetings
The Solutions Centre Marketplace is an unconventional style trade show featuring services and products used by festivals of all sizes and industry related organizations.
