JOB BOARD | Savoy Theatre (Glace Bay, NS) Hiring Assistant Stage Manager

August 23, 2017 | The Savoy Theatre is looking for an energetic individual to fill the position of Assistant Stage Manager. The ASM is part of the management team for Savoy Produced Productions.

His or her behavior should reflect this in setting examples in punctuality and professionalism. It is important that the ASM is flexible, will take initiative, because each production is different, and will require different skill sets.

The Assistant Stage Manager assists the Production Stage Manager with all of their responsibilities. They will help with communication (cast, crew and production members), set build and paint, organization of show props, crew duties, and stage preparation for shows as well as miscellaneous duties during rehearsals and production of a stage performance as directed by the Stage Manager.

This can include but is not limited to attending production meetings and rehearsals, clerical organization, aiding in planning of rehearsal schedules, aid in set construction, organizing show logistics, and other various tasks to ensure the smooth execution of the performances. Experience is not necessary as training will be provided, but would be taken into consideration.

Requirements - Valid Drivers Licence, Flexible Hours (Evenings and Weekends).
