October 25, 2013 | In the 2012-2013 year, the APA board, staff and its members participated in sessions to create a 3 year Strategic Plan. The document was presented by current APA President and head of the Strategic Planning Committee, Darcy Campbell (Confederation Centre of the Arts) at Contact East 2013 in St. John's, NL.
Working closely with consultant, Marian Donnelly (Inner Circle Management), the following Key Strategic Directions for the organization were revealed:
Key Strategic Directions
1) Member Engagement: improving the levels of engagement with existing APA membership and increasing the membership to include a more diverse spectrum of presenters, including festivals.
2) Regional Cooperation and Connectivity: facilitating more cohesive relationships with all four provincial governments in Atlantic Canada, and encouraging more connectivity with presenting organizations in Newfoundland.
3) Refined Programs and Services: Evaluating and refining the programs and services offered by the APA to reflect their relevance to the membership and the capacity of the organization.
